I bought this LW1424RD to replace an old 15000 btu unit. I am pushing the room size limit and being handicapped doesnt allow me to seal my large room 24 X 32 off. I am very pleased at the great performance so far. Quiet and vibration free.

What a piece of junk I thought I was buying a unit that made cold air.. It does NOT.. A true piece of #it... You ought to be ashamed to call this an air conditioner.. I will never but from LG again.. Less than POOR Performance

I purchased this before it got hot here in Seattle when you cant find one when you need it. It definitely cools like it was suppose to and kept us very comfortable. the machine isnt all that noisy also. The reason I didnt give it a 5 star rating as it caused my lights to dim when ever the motor kicked on. Then it started to blow my breaker. I had an electrician come out and do some work for a couple of hundred dollars and now it doesnt blow the breaker but it does still dim the lights occassionally.

I experienced several problems. First shipping took twice as long as stated and within 3 days of placing the order the order status showed that the order was pending cancellation. Tried to cancel the order never got a conformation as promised by customer service. I ordered a 15000 BTU but received a 14000 BTU unit with the same model number as the 15000 BTU unit as listed on LG website. Customer service was USELESS Could not understand the agent each and every time I called terrible accent which was at least 5 times. I could have order the 14000 BTU unit on AMAZON for $50 less and received it in 2 days Tried to plead my case to to OrdersLGENS.com but got no where. I would not buy another LG product as long as I live and I would advise everyone else to do the same. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

Beware - LW1424RD is Falsely Advertised

There are so many bad things about the LW1442RD unit. First the website advertises this as a 15000 BYU unit but it arrives in a box labelled 14000 BTUs. So false advertising. Second the website description of the physical size is incorrect. It is much smaller than stated on the website so if you are replacing an existing unit with a preformed hole size you are out of luck. Third the side metal of the unit is so flimsy that the front cover clips bend the holes when you try to put the front on and the cover falls off unless you tape it on. This is the worse LG product I have ever purchased. When I called LG to try and discuss what could be done I got the phone runaround was put on hold for 20 minutes only to have the call dropped while on hold. Overall this iihas been a very bad experience
